Boom Festival Newsletter - Jan 2008

Welcome to Boom's first-ever newsletter in 2008! By now, it's quite possible that you've had your expectations on getting a Boom ticket higher than ever, which we understand, as ticket sales have just started.

We’ve been busy compiling the Boom website that we launched on the 1st of January which lead us to a conclusion based on the feedback we’ve been receiving everyday: 2008 edition is likely to be the most significant ever. There’s a huge demand of information regarding Boom so this newsletter is based on practical tips for you to arrive at Boom on a easy, cheap and laid back way. We’ll be updating the arts and culture programme later on February.

Tickets Available

January 9 was the day! The first phase of Boom tickets is available from January 9 to February 20. The price is € 95. From there onwards prices will get higher. If you want to know more information regarding Boom tickets click here. Tickets in the first phase are strictly online. Be sure you follow all instructions in the Boom website accordingly.

Intercultural Boom!

How can we forget that feeling of being immersed in a multicultural crowd? People from all over the world together in the same place interchanging signs and expressions - that’s one of the main traits of Boom.
In 2008 we decided to act accordingly through our website, using different languages to express the Boom spirit. In this way we have already online multilanguage microsites in www.boomfestival.org. Besides the international language (English) in the main website, we have related mini-websites in the following languages: Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, French and German

Boom Web TV For Free Expression

The Boom Web TV is already one of our top visits in Boom website. This is a project that is based both on Boom productions and a compilation of videopodcasts taken from the Internet. We are guided by a will of expressing new ideas and spreading concepts that are a part f the Boom imaginery. The Boom Web TV is a collaborative project, be free to send us your ideas, short movies, reportages, videoart, etc.. Check the Boom TV by clicking here.

New Boom Dimensions

We’ll reveal new projects through our website by the end of January. There will be the “Boom Book”, a book about the Boom Festival with essays, articles, and visionary art works about trance, psychedelic culture, and the role of subcultures in modern society. The Boom DVD “We Are One”, is a documentary about the Boom 2006 that reflects one vision about the Boom Festival by Sebastian Rost and the Psynema crew. Stay updated, the Boom Shop will be available from January 31 onwards.
