The Paradigm Shift: Sustainable Entertainment.
In a world in crisis it’s funny to see how entertainment can lead a way towards new solutions to mankind.
In the second half of the 20th century music and arts lead the way for the changes in the social domain. Jazz, rock’n’roll, beatnicks, hippies, punks, hip hop, mods, 2tone, disco, rave culture, you name it, a vast group of subcultures that arose against the mainstream culture. The impact of them amongst the youth influenced the development of the norms and values in modern societies.
Today subcultures are not leading the way, instead, the events where most of subcultures socialize and meet are. Facing a world in despair due to its environmental crisis, more and more events around the globe are showing new solutions for a sustainable living with a large group of humans.
The functioning models of technologies that will be used at Boom include permaculture, edible gardens, natural construction using strawbales and superadobe, biological water treatment systems, composting toilets to create soil and energy from recycled oil and the sun. That’s some of our contributions for a paradigm shift. Be cooperative, be a part of the paradigm shift.
