At that time a generation shook up the old society and traditional morality, questioning the established dogmas and paradigms. 40 years have passed, but the need for a shift is still present; and we must use the opportunity of having thousands of people from all over the world in the same place as a starting point for change - Boom 2008 is arriving and we look at it as a catalyst for a new paradigm!
The Liminal Culture For Enhancing Our Awareness
The Liminal Village at Boom Festival opens dialogues about sustainable futures, conscious evolution and the emerging paradigm. It is a fusion of varying styles of art and design, communities and communication. The program is divided into four categories: Workshops (during the day with facilitators from around the world); Presentations (the evening program will once again feature a variety of multimedia presentations from an international line up of accomplished speakers); Vision Gallery (the In:sights Exhibition will reflect the spirit of an art movement that transcends languages, cultures and borders, with paintings and visionary art from renowned painters); and Temple Gardens, a series of gates and gardens created as an interactive demonstration site for exploring permaculture. The Boom Festival team has been trying to pass the message to the music lovers that the dance floor line up alone, does not make the Boom. It is the whole experience that makes the Boom so special! The Boom is all about creating a space where every art form is in harmony with you. However we do know the importance of music and we’re already announcing some names on the Boom website, and all lines ups will be online on July 1st as we announced previously. Therefore on the music side we can already release Gocoo, Artifakt, Menog, Extrawelt, Boxcutter, Exercise One, Paul Ritch, Marc Antona, Far Too Loud, Kanio, Tom Real, or Tes La Rok in between a huge rooster.Independent Culture Is Boom’s Core
Boom Festival is an independent culture festival. We don’t accept sponsorships and we don’t allow any branding inside the venue. Our festival paradigm is based on independence, arts crossover and environmental sustainability practices. Since we have no commercial sponsorships the public, in a direct relation of retribution, supports the festival. We’ll have 600 artists, four music areas, environmentally friendly projects, a theatre, a cultural hub and dozens of arts and education projects. The second phase of Boom ticket sales will finish on May 19th. From May 20th to July 18th there will be a new price: 135€. This is the last chance to get a cheaper ticket. At the gates prices will be quite more expensive. You can purchase your Boom ticket through both the Boom Ambassadors network or as an e-ticket. The e-ticket is available by clicking here.We remind you that the tickets are virtual; you won’t receive it in post mail, rather, you’ll get in through your email address. Then you just have to print it and present its barcode at the Boom gates. If you want to purchase a ticket in your country we have more than 100 Boom Ambassadors in almost 70 countries.
